Operational model of Lahti Region Educational Consortium

Lahti Region Educational Consortium was established on 1 January 1996. It is owned by 13 municipalities in the region, including the City of Lahti. It has combined regional educational expertise and know-how to provide and develop vocational education and training, higher education as well as life management, job-hunting skills and rehabilitating work opportunities of the disabled.
Its mission is to train competent workforce and promote regional competitiveness. Operations are based on agreed, shared rules, which are expressed as values: trust, openness, customer orientation, respect for others and renewal.
According of the vision of Lahti Region Educational Consortium, “We are an international education provider committed to learning and sustainable renewal.”
Lahti Region Educational Consortium comprises three business units
Lahti University of Applied Sciences (Lahden ammattikorkeakoulu),
Salpaus Further Education (Koulutuskeskus Salpaus) and
Tuoterengas
and consortium level service units
