Information Skills Clinic

Information Skills Clinic offers you help in information seeking. At the clinic, Information Specialist helps you personally in finding and using databases relevant to your subject of study, and helps you in assessing information quality. The service is aimed at the students, teachers and other staff of Lahti University of Applied Sciences, Lahti University Consortium and Salpaus Further Education.

Information Skills Clinic is available non-stop at Fellmannia. You may also book a personal clinic session by e-mailing tietokeskus[@]phkk.fi.

Information Skills Test

The Information Skills course is one part of the Effiecient Working course for students at Lahti University of Applied Sciences. This course includes an information skills test.

Tests are arranged at Fellmannia, Kirkkokatu 27, Lahti, tel. +358 3 828 3880. Please see test schedule below.

The aim of testing is to ensure students' competence in information skills and in using the available resources. These skills help you study efficiently and form the basis of your professional development.

Prepare yourself for the skills test by practising the use of  electronic resources in your own field. You should also study information skills with the help of self-study material and a skills test demo:

• SKILLS TEST DEMO at Reppu
  (if you are already logged in Reppu, log out first)

  SELF-STUDY MATERIAL:
  ICT Driving License - Study Material (University of Helsinki)

You do not have to enrol beforehand; you will be logged in the test as you arrive. You will need your AD-user name and password for the test. AD-account is given by your faculty.

The test includes 10 multiple choice questions. You will have 60 minutes to complete the test before it automatically closes.

There may be rush - please make time for possible queues.
